The more weddings I do, the more I realise that the thing that stresses couples out the most is choosing a first dance song.
It's an endless debate of whether to choose something traditional and sway gently from side to side. Do you to take secret dance lessons and wow your guests with a routine to rival something out of "Strictly Come Dancing"? Maybe you try and re-create the "Dirty Dancing" lift, or do you thrill your guests with your own wedding flash mob?
Just as an aside, if you do decide to re-create the above, then as your celebrant, I'd be fully onboard with getting involved!
Whatever option you choose, you're going to need a song to strut your stuff too.
If you're struggling to decide, here's my top 20, I've tried to pick a variety of decades and styles...... they're in no particular order too!
"Something About the Way You Look Tonight" - Elton John
"Everything" - Michael Buble
"God Only Knows" - Beach Boys
"Can't Help Falling in Love With You" - Elvis Presley
"Suddenly" - Angry Anderson
"Thinking Out Loud" - Ed Sheeran
"Let's Stay Together" - Al Green
"It Had to Be You" - Harry Connick Jnr
"Rewrite the Stars" - Zac Efron and Zendaya
"Come Fly with Me" - Frank Sinatra
"Your Song" - Elton John
"At Last" - Etta James
"I Won't Give Up on Us - Jason Mraz
"All of Me" - John Legend
"Marry You" - Bruno Mars
"Make you Feel My Love" - Adele
"L-O-V-E" - Nat King Cole
"Better Together" - Jack Johnson
"The Very Thought of You" - Billie Holiday
"Dream a Little Dream of Me" - Mamas and the Papas.
How did you decide on your first dance and what did you choose?
